Is it normal that i want to remove all my teeth?

Ever since my first dental visit when i was 8 ..and had a tooth removed...i loved the feeling of having my tooth removed...and the feeling of my tongue on my gums. I have such an urge to remove all my teeth....and just glide my tongue on my gums...is it normal?

Same here! Whenever things feel wrong in life, or I'm really stressed about something, I have a recurring dream where all my teeth gradually fall out.

no, not normal. anything which works against our ability to survive and thrive and to produce and nurture our young goes against the natural order.

conversely, i always thought it was weird that we've evolved to have only one set of permanent teeth; every other part of our body is capable of healing over time, except that part which takes the most physical abuse- our teeth rip, tear, gnaw and grind, but cannot heal when damaged.

    very strange.

Me too!! I always think, man, teeth are just so poorly evolved. First of all, why the hell do they have nerves? OK, fine now because we have dentists, but for thousands of years, what the hell could you do about a toothache? You'd have no clue why it hurt, or what to do, or even have the equipment or know-how to do anything about it. And they're so vital to life, but they fail long before your lifespan is even close to over. And why are they so often poorly shaped, or or just look bad....animals of the same species have virtually identical teeth, humans are just all mixed up. I don't get why a perfect set of teeth isn't normal, it's more abnormal to have perfect teeth.

And they are so often the ONE thing that can make an otherwise attractive person completely unattractive. I mean, what else, that we have no control over, can make us as incredibly unattractive as bad teeth can? There's really not much.

      Stupid teeth.

If I had any disposable income (LOL!) I would seriously consider having all of my teeth (even though they're mostly healthy) extracted and replaced with synthetic implants- one less thing to have to worry about!

On a few occasions, I had to get my baby teeth removed. I like how my doctor did it and it barely hurt. The on downside, was the vast amounts of blood:(

Now, I'm terrified of the dentists and can barely finish an appointment without freaking out in there. It's normal, but to an extent. Perhaps, you find a "flat" mouth to be soothing? Find something to replace your pulling out fantasy, but in a healthier way. Try licking a popsicle, something "smooth". Don't hurt yourself with this. If you pulled out all of your healthy teeth, then you'd probably start to want them back again. Just be safe:)

LOL! 100% normal dude, go for it! But film it so we can see how you did it, for future reference :-) How are you planning on doing it? All at once? One at a time? Through the use of a bacterial or chemical agent that will slowly rot your teeth out over time? Or are you just going to go for the good old teeth tied to a car with dental floss maneuver? Hope you weren't planning on doing it at the dentist, That would be totally unoriginal.

Once when I was on loads and loads of hallucinogenic drugs the fact that I had teeth and they were all hard in my mouth and everythign else was soft freaked me out and I kinda didn't want them there.
