Is it normal that i want to remain alcoholic-free?

I never drank and I don't want to because of health and religious (kind of) reasons and i don't think it will taste good. My family doesn't drink either so I grew up without having the urge to drink someday. Then in college I saw drunk/tipsy people for the first time (They drank responsibly except for this one person but he's fine). Now I'm starting to wonder if I should completely omit alcohol, because it's something so popular and I'm kind of curious. Overall, I'm more on the side of not wanting to drink. is there anyone who doesn't drink?

Totally normal. If you don't want to, dont. I had my college moments, and drunkeness is nothing to rave about. REMEMBER having a drink doesn't equate to drunkeness or alcoholism. I only have a drink a few times a year, for random reasons (my bf once bought a blueberry beer I tried, for example). I can't speak to your religious reasons except to evaluate yourself. Do you feel strongly about this? What does your religion say about alcohol consumption? Why do you want to try it?

In the end, remember its nothing important; alcohol isn't anything special. Just like a ton of candy can kill you over time, so can a ton of alcohol. It comes with a lot of responsibility, but consumption won't make you an alcoholic, and abstinence won't make you any less of a person.

There's nothing wrong with the occasional drink and there's certainly nothing wrong social drinking in ones youth. I drink about once a month and I've yet to develop problems. Quite frankly I like to drink and enjoy the social confidence it gives me. Actually, to be honest, I like being drunk.

Of course drinking isn't for everyone but I don't see why you need validation from internet strangers as far as your teetotalism is concerned. If you don't want to drink, I think you know there's nothing wrong with abstaining.

Perfectly normal but i do drink. Dont make it like oh i can never drink but maybe try one and the mystery will be gone believe me it tastes like what it is poison until you build a taste for it. Anyone tells you booze tastes good their either drinkers themselves who built up the taste or had their taste buds removes.

I'm 25 and I've never even had a sip of alcohol. If you don't want to drink, don't. It's perfectly normal.

I don't like being drunk, but I do enjoy the occasional alcoholic beverage. I drink about 2-3 times a month. If you don't want to drink, then don't. Simple. But sometimes a tasty Pinot is the perfect way to end an evening.

No, get those pints down your throat NAO!!

But seriously, yes it's normal. You don't want a screwed up kidney, or to screw your life up by committing the terrible acts you might commit drunk.

Although, if movies are to be believed, drinking is a one way ticket to sex, so go right on in.

Alcohol has ruined my life and i dont know how to drink just one. So i went to AA and found out they wanted my soul. Yet i have found it easier just to not drink and not worship it, or talk about it everyday. Dont start, be glad you havent. (Fuck AA, try opening a bible.)
