I recommend watching the vlogs of Jon Calvo. A morbidly obese Korean-American man documented his trials to lose weight. Now he's one of those success stories. It's really interesting because you get to see what's inbetween the before and after photo. HIS YOUTUBE NAME IS KALIMGRAD.

    GOOD LUCK

Well I have advice but I don't know how healthy it is but it works. This is exactly what I did and lost 20 pounds in 14 days.

You eat a very small portion of meat once a day. You have a harsh regimen but you need something to make you determined and work as hard as you can. While drinking a meal replacement protein formula for lunch.

Before you work out drink 3 bottles of water (each 16.9 ounces). You should burn off all this water by the end of each work out. If not you are not working hard enough. You have to do this for 14 days.

After the fourteenth day you have to slowly switch back to normal food. First start with meat, than add vegetable, than fruit. Know that this is very extreme and you have to have something that is really motivating you.

Realize if you are doing it right you are going to be Exhausted and starving by the end of it.

    Items needed:

3 bottles of water for each work out

protein meal replacement for lunch for each day

meat(a small portion for after each work out)

A work out regimen(Yoga stretches, 100 push ups, 100 crunches and a jog)

At first you might not be able to do 100 crunches and push ups but by the end of it you should be. When you can do 100 than do 150.

Music(if you want to use it to work out)

you will be in a puddle of sweat each day. So also need multiple changes of gym clothes. They wont last more than 2 days each pair.

I forgot one part, if you decide to work out or do insanity, be very prepared to be sore the first few weeks.

The first week or two WILL suck but it does get better from there as your muscles get used to the strain.

Honestly, I agree with the others in saying Insanity is a good way to go.

By the way as a side note, don't get discouraged at all if you have to stop a lot during the workouts. I've done them personally as a cross country runner in pretty good shape and have had to stop outright for a minute or so.

If insanity isn't your thing, that's okay but there is little chance you can get away with just eating right and not exercising. Don't get me wrong, you may lose weight that way but its much healthier for you to do both.

Also, if you exercise and eat right, you should, if you stick with it for 10 weeks, be able to keep the weight off as a habit is formed in about 10 weeks. So if you keep exercising regularly for that long, it should go well.

Best of luck with whatever course you decide to do! I've never had to go through this but I've watched people that have and I don't envy them. It takes some willpower.

First of all, have a goal in mind, and write it down so you can remember it and refer back to it when you need to (like when your cheating on your diet) This will help you stay on track and reflect on why you are starting this in the first place. I'm saying to set a realistic goal, like 'I want to loose a good ten pounds a month in order to be healthy' or so on and so forth.

Then give yourself a time-frame. I prefer to count calories, on boxes, labels, like get the burger with less calories, you still get to have the burger, but you cut out 500 calories at the same time or get the coffee with splenda instead of regular sugar. I say you don't do an atkins, or any sort of super extraneous work-out because that stuff is really hard, and the moment you fall off of those programs, you end up back at square one.

The ultimate answer is to figure out why you are not loosing weight naturally. I, personally am thin, but I gain weight really quickly/easily so when I notice I've gained a couple pounds, I go for all the healthy foods for a couple/2 days. I get burger king if I'm in a rush and need lunch, but I will get a whopper junior and a junior fry. I am still eating what I want, just less of it. If you really want to loose weight and still be healthy, normal, and have it stay off in the long-run, take that advice.

My cousin was really chubby in high-school and she was tired of it. She didn't go on some major diet, all she did was not drink her daily soda and she cut back on candy bars. She drank diet and we split candy once and a while. She slowly, but surely lost the weight. To add to that, she would try and eat less of the fatty food that she ordered, and SOME days ate salad instead. Recently, she just had a couple of kids and she is still thin, from no longer indulging so much in food, especially junk food.

Buy the small bag of lays potato chips, and by all means finish it if you want to, just don't get the big bag and finish that. Get in to buying more fruits, veggies, and lean meat when you go grocery shopping. I really like healthy tv dinners, I'm always in a hurry and they have really great options now, tasty. Just don't eat them all the time. Think of everything sparatically. If you go for desert, get just one scoop of ice-cream or frozen yogurt, think everything you want to eat, just eat less of it, and try to add to that, more healthy food, in order to get the nutrients your body needs, to process food better.

Now for your exercise, I advise you take up something that works out the whole body in a little bit of time. Like sprints, or swimming, or something that is fun like trying volleyball, even though you suck at it, your friends wont care. Changing the way you move your body in your every day routines will help you loose so much weight naturally with little effort. Like when I go to my car, I run like a little kid, I double step up a stair case, I walk fast when I'm in a hurry in the store. If you and your friends go bowling, just stay standing, don't sit, or dance around the house, or same when playing pool, don't sit down or slouch on the poolstick. Stand up strait, don't slouch, keeping good posture will automatically make your muscles work, not like a super hard workout, but it's better than nothing. Trying to join a gym can be intimidating for a large person, but look into it, or get home videos, they even sell them at good will for cheap, and you can do it at the pace you want to. Also try to add a little weight when you do your workouts, like if you go for a walk, use leg weights, or hand weights. Things you can do all day wherever is calf lifts, squeezing your buns, contracting your legs while sitting, even your arms, like pretend your stretching and contact your arms or stomach and your muscles will get stimulated.

One big piece of advice I have it that you don't tell the whole word your on a diet. Not even your mom. I know this might be really hard, but Think of it, that is just asking for attention and then you feel too much pressure to keep it up. Don't be an attention whore. If someone is like, "but you love snickers, why arent you having one?" just say, nah, I don't feel like it, or nah I just had one, or nah last time I had one it made my tummy hurt'. Loosing weight should start with you first, not other people judgements of you. If someone says, why are you eating lean cuisine, just say 'I think they really taste good and they were cheaper than the other tv dinners l was looking at. Good luck, sorry this was so long, but I know for a fact it works, p.s. don't skip meals, unless you watching tv all day, your body doesnt need that energy. Just eat a snack or something.
