When I pick my pet bunny up I sometimes get an urge to hurt or kill it. Like sometimes it is strong and sometimes I barely notice it. Like this one time it was so strong I was like 2 steps away from killing it. ( Although I didn't hurt it ). Can someone please tell me if this is a psychological disorder? Is this normal???
No, it is not normal. You may be mentally ill or have unresolved psychological problems most likely from your childhood. You need to find a psychologist, psychiatrist or both. People who kill animals due to some sadistic urge sometimes graduate to killing people. That path usually leads to madness, prison and execution. In the meantime you need to avoid small animals, small children, the physically disabled and really old people. You will be fine, dont feel sorry for yourself. Don't feed the urges with fantasy. Get professional help. I know what I'm talking about, I used to be just like you.
By "hurt" and "kill" do you just mean the urge to squeeze it because you find it too cute? If so, then that's sadly normal. Something called "Cute aggression" is quite well documented. But if it is an actual deep desire to hurt the bunny, no. In any case, do not hurt the bunny.
Serial killer. Actually, about 2 weeks ago a bunny was dead in the road in front of my house. Poor thing, it wasn't one of the little wild rabbits, it was someone's pet :( I had to pick it up and throw it away :'(
Umm, do you think it would help if you put a big sign on its cage: "STOP! DON'T KILL THE BUNNY!"
But yeah, that doesn't sound normal. Does this happen when you're angry, or just for no reason at all?
