Is it normal that i want to kill my customers???

I work at a pretty popular ice cream shop. Some people get really overwhelmed with decisions when they come in, especially if they have never been in the store before. They ask all kinds of dumb questions, and when I ask "What size?", they look at me like I just asked them to cut themselves. And especially if they are really fat, I always give them more ice cream and/or candy to make them fatter so they will die sooner. People watch me while I make their ice cream, and more than half of the time they wait until I hand it to them to tell me "Oh, I wanted it in a cone, or can you put some chocolate in there too?". Even when people have children that take 5 minutes to figure out what they want in their ice cream- I daydream about murdering their entire stupid family. Is this normal?

Believe me, I love the "stupid families" they make me smile... and it's not that I feel like this towards EVERY customer I serve... just the morons.

There are people like this in all walks of life. Someone once asked me, on the sixth floor of the building we were in, which floor the exit was on.

Funny -- I was just in an unfamiliar ice cream shop and I fumbled through ordering for my family. And I am a pretty smart lady. The menu was so damn confusing, with all sorts of bizarre names and my kids were excited and indecisive. Should I assume that the teen behind the counter telling me how cute my kids were was actually fantasizing murder? Maybe you should be in an office filing?

Depends on your demeanor, like I said earlier... I do not feel this way towards ALL my customers. If your kids were really that excited I'm sure it would have brought a smile to my face. There is nothing more rewarding than making a child smile. I think a lot of you have gotten the wrong idea. A lot of people can be assholes and treat people in the service industry like they are something "less than" because they are waiting on you. If you have the gratitude to say "Thank you" when I had you ice cream I am more than happy to hook you up with extra ice cream and/or candy.

Yes, this is completely normal, I used to work in a very popular restaraunt (always busy, but we had quiet periods!) and all the customers were assholes, even my managers, they were awful, especially one of them, she was the type of manager who moaned at everyone (Sometimes for no reason) but everytime a customer came into the restaurant I just wanted them dead on the spot in an instant, I also hated seeing them smile so happily before they came in as well, I just always thought to myself "I'll wipe that smile off your f***** face." And I hated buggies so much, people who came in with buggies were a big pain, because it was so small yet we had buggies left right and centre, it was so annoying, that job as a waiter really made me depressed for months, this one time my arm accidently touched a babies bottle, and this fat woman (Babies mother) bellowed at me and called me a "f****** prat " and then looked at me and started to be racist and snydly said "Is your arm clean?" I was so angry I wanted to smash the empty plates over her head so bad. But I didn't I just said to her "Lady, never annoy people who serve you food, you have no idea what we are capable of." Then as she was drinking I said "How's that drink taste, enjoying it? I wouldn't if I was you." Then I walked off and heard her spit it out, No I didn't do anything to her drink, but it was nice to make her think that I did, leaving that job was the best thing I ever did, I have a nice kushy office job now which I love, and my mental state is normal. XD

Killing people shouldn't be an option but throwing ice over some of your stupid customers could be a good laugh. It will get your arse fired but sounds like a pretty fucked up job anyway.

Better get another job. I work for a pet-shop/veterinarian, i uses to be a cashier and some customers were kind of annoying. They made obvious questions, they touched everything, somed bugged me on purpose and some of them stole stuff. But in the bright side, I loved helping them get their toys, pets, food and stuff. I also loved talking to them, made my days less lonely. Anyways, I got promoted and now I work programing computers in the same store. Still minimum wage. Kidding. Lol
