Is it normal that i want to go out dressed as a girl?

Hi, im a 21 year old strait lad. I have liked crossdressing in girls cloths/ underwear/shoes/ boots/ high heels for as long as i can remember (about 6 years old i think) it used to be i just wanted to do it round the house when no one eles was around. For about the past 2 years i have been in a very serious relationship with my girl freind and were trying for kids etc, she was the first person i told about this secret side of me She accepted it very well and lets me wear her cloths and shoes etc round the house. She will buy me cloths/ shoes from shops if i see somthing i like. We even have sex when im dressed up and she gets kinda turned on by it. Anyway over the past approx one year i have been wanting to dress up more and more, i really want to go out in public as a girl, i want to tell my gf but last time i joked about it she was a little bit strange about it and didnt seem to happy about the idea of this, do people think its a gd idea to tell her the truth about this and stop hiding it? Also i want to tell my dad and brother about my crossdressing but am worried about how they will take it, should i just tell them? Also is it normal for a lad to want to go out in public as a girl and buy girly cloths/underwear/ shoes etc?

    Your girlfriend seemed to take the initial shock very well- this shows that she loves you very much. You wearing clothes in a house is a lot different to wearing them out in public. Maybe it was just a bit of a shock for her. Have you spoke to her about it since? Maybe this should be your next step. ALthough you feel at ease with the dressing up outside it is a lot for your girlfriend to take on board- it may take her a while to get use to the idea. Talk and be honest with her you can't go wrong. Do you want to go out dressed in public during the day or the night? These are two different experiences altogether.When you get dressed up and want to go outside are you you or someone else. If you do not have a name for your otherside you may want to create one, this may help your girlfriend comes to terms with it as it will not be here "boyfriend" that she loves. Your family are your family they will love you no matter what but you have to understand and bare in mind that they may not be so accepting as your girlfriend at first - IT IS A BIG SHOCK.
    Is it normal for you to want to go out in public dressed as the opposite sex - some will say yes and some will say no. It depends on the person and how they feel. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

    I think it's normal but society probably doesn't. Your girl might be worried about how the public will treat you.

    Well...the best time to do it if you are scared to is things like Halloween and New Years and prepare for such a thing. Go all out. Got any female friends that know? they can be a great support for you.

    I kinda in the same situation maybe you can read my questions one my girl posted one i did. But i think that you should be honest with her and you could be surpised she might be okay with it
