Is it normal that i want to fool around but not have intercourse?

Hi, i am a young adult that has been sexually active a number of years, with a number of people, doing a variety of things. As of late I have been rejecting full out sex more and more, but have been engaging in more and more foreplay activities. (Everything but oral sex) and I think that I no longer want to have intercourse, and would rather just fool around, but Im not sure if this would be seen as to much teasing, or if this is something i could even explain to potential SO?

    It'll be hard to find a sex partner who only likes foreplay. I can do it once in a while and jack off for the woman, but I couldn't do it all the time.
    Most men don't like to be teased. If you don't want to have intercourse, you should at least give blowjobs. To me, it's not nasty, it's just fun.
    I wouldn't care if my girlfriend and I wouldn't have intercourse ever again. I prefer blowjobs anyway. Maybe you are a lesbian and just haven't realized it yet.
    Nobody likes a prick teaser.

      -- The lack of desire for sex is a personal physical thing and has nothing to do with who she is attracted to. These basic assumptions that she must just be a lesbian or is a "prick teaser" are really sad.

      People have different wants and needs, and while yours may not be normal, you just have to be honest with your partners and eventually you'll discover there are other people who can understand and relate; you'll just have to be a bit more patient in finding them than the average person.

      The worst thing you could do is date a man who tries to coerce you into it by making you feel bad about it; comments such as "You are obviously 'that' type of girl" and "Nobody likes a prick teaser" are signs of exactly the kind of man you want to avoid.

    Sounds like you want more of an emotional connection than a physical connection and maybe want to wait to have sex again until you feel like you are in love/really connect with that person and feel completely safe. Possibly you are tired of it just being physical and want a more holisitic connection?

    Do you orgasm from 'fooling around'?
    do you orgasm from sex or oral sex?
    do you masturbate often?
    If the answer to the second question is no, then you just still need to figure out what you like with some skilled sex partners.
    if the answer to the third question is no then maybe you just have a really low sex drive.

    although you still wanting to fool around suggests that you DO have a libido soo... with all due respect, maybe when it comes to full sex and oral you are doing it wrong?

    its normal....I do it with my boyfriend all that time...he goes along with the tease but eventually he takes what he wants when he wants it, of course, only when I'm willing to give it. =) He's perfectly fine waiting or not doing "it" AT ALL.

    I am a female, their assumptions were correct. And NO! im not a lesbian. And it is not even that i have lost or a low sex drive, i just would rather at this time, not have intercourse.

    Is this a male or a female asking? Everyones assuming your a female but I didn't get any indication one way or the other. It would help to know in answering the question properly.
