Is it normal that i want to find a woman with a similar heratige?

So I find myself dating regularly but always make an issue (to myself only) out of the women's heritage. I'm very much German (born American) and have always wanted to date a German girl. Seeing as how that's highly unlikely living in the southern Midwest, I'm basically having to be content with dating a woman with German roots. I still have family in DE and have been myself when I was a pre-teen. Due to my age I didn't really expect to find anybody for the long term nor was I even thinking about anything further than what was going on that particular week.
So is it normal that I want to keep my Germanic roots going? And if so how would one suggest a mildly handsome man go about finding said woman? (because its not going to happen in my small town lol!)

    Normal to me. There's lots of people that live in Cincinnati with German roots if that interests you.

    That's a perfectly normal and healthy way to feel. There are number of small towns left in the US that are predominately ethnic Germans. Try going to German restaurants, forums, and festivals whenever possible. You can undoubtedly find a good German girl online and can even move to DE when you're old enough.

    Diversity is beautiful, therefore it makes much more sense for people to preserve their ethnic and cultural heritage than for everyone to marry foreigners. Would we want all dogs to become one breed? No, of course not, we love that there are different kinds. The above girl talking about "advancement" is a complete moron. Try thinking for yourself for a change instead of parroting what your indoctrinated and biased professors spout.

    Who said anything about race? Heritage differs from race....thanks though.....

    And Anime, I would love to go back but haven't been able to in about 15 years. Hopefully I can make it back over in a year or so :)

    I think it's normal. Have you tried just finding a girl in Germany. I mean, when you visit your relatives in Germany, try walking around and talking to the women.
