Is it normal that i want to do this for my friends?

I had 2 close friends growing up. I made a lot of mistakes including one that I'll regret forever: growing distant with no means of communicating with them. I also (in-voluntarily) moved to another place while I was a teenager. Because I may never see them again, I plan on having a baby and naming it after both of them (he/she will have one of their first names as well as one of their surnames).

Though it might be selfish, I want to do it as one last favor to them as I may never see them again (That and I just want to be a mother). I feel as if I can undo all the wrongs I've made to them by raising a baby lovingly in their memories.

I believe that by doing this in the future, I can finally forgive myself and I can die in peace with no further regrets.

    Having a baby without a husband or support system to absolve yourself for some sins you believe you have committed?
    Is that what you are saying? I don't know if I can even comprehend where you are coming from, sorry.

    Why can't you just Facebook them?
    Or get a fish or something
    I mean seriously.. you can't think of any other ways to remember them by?
