Is it normal that i want to be two completely different things?

I'm planning on getting a Bachelor's degree in both Mathematics and English Literature, and then getting my Master's in Computer Science. My dream is to become a Systems Architect, but I also want to write novels. These two careers are from opposite ends of the spectrum, I know. But the thing is, I don't want a happy medium. To be quite honest, I'm rather tired of people suggesting I write code as a balance between the two, because for me, that makes both sides lose luster. Is it normal? What do you lovely people suggest?

listen, you like to write novels, right? you can do masters in any field then, write novels side by side, but if u can't manage it, then you can do masters in computer, become system architect and side by side write articles for computer related stuff ;)

    Sounds normal.
If you're willing to take the initiative to get the degrees, pay for the schooling and get a good job, then more power to you. Rich friends are good to have.
