Is it normal that i want this so bad? but it never works

Lately I have been obsessive about skinnyness and being thin. I used to be skinny-ish but since I moved into college I have gotten fatter and I hate my stomach and legs. I just want to be skinny and be happy about my weight I have been looking at exercises to get thinner and recently i even put duct tape around my stomach before I went to school just so i looked thinner... but I cant seem to lose any weight or get any modivation to lose it. Is this normal?

    alright first of all,you really shouldnt do the duct tape thing,my cousin used to do it,she has so many marks on her stomach.

    and two,
    i pretend that i'm getting trained for war or something.i'v lost over 20 kilos in the last 3 months from that.

    It's really normal to want to lose the weight but not have the will. You just have to find something you enjoy to help you lose weight like swimming, or dancing or step aerobics. I sometimes go to a swing class. I have vanity weight I'm always trying to lose (5-10 pounds) and that helps me. Good luck! :)

    I mean, is ‘fat’ really the worst thing a human being can be? Is ‘fat’ worse than ‘vindictive’, ‘jealous’, ‘shallow’, ‘vain’, ‘boring’ or ‘cruel’? Not to me; but then, you might retort, what do I know about the pressure to be skinny?
    But id rather when i have children I'd rather they were independent, interesting, idealistic, kind, opinionated, original, funny – a thousand things, before ‘thin’. And frankly, I’d rather they didn’t give a gust of stinking chihuahua flatulence whether the woman standing next to them has fleshier knees than they do. There are alot more important things then your weight out there. Dont worry so much about it, your beautiful the way you are and if people cant see it then they arent worth your time!

  • Everyone wants a quick fix. You want to lose the weight but don't want to do the work to lose it. Until you get motivated you're going to keep being unhappy about it.
