Is it normal that i want the zombie apocalypse to occur?

If it's supposedly to end in chaos towards the latter end of 2012... Why not go out with a REAL bang?

But that's not why I feel sick/not normal. I picture everyone I hate transforming and decaying in famine and I think, it's an excuse for moral structure to end and shooting them in the friggen head since they won't be considered "human" any more.

Is this normal?

      Actually no, and this reply goes to all.

      My motivations for wanting a zombie apocalypse is greater than "COOL zombies" or even, "hey an excuse to shoot everyone."

      I admit, yeah, media has fed me too
      Many desensitizing materials, but I'm not a twelve year old with a wish driven by dumb extrinistic factors like video games. I want to see how moral deconstruction would bring out humanities true colors. Kind of like the moral chAllenges faced in that show the "walking dead", where the title refers to the human characters instead of the undead. My wish is a little more then wish to see the world burn. With that in mind, resume commenting please

        ...You make a bad assumption for thinking people want a zombie apocolypse just because "cool, zombies!", etc.

        My reasons for wanting a zombie apocolypse is like yours, with a mixture of an excuse to be aggresive, as I'm sure others, if not most, have the same reason as you do.

        I like The Walking Dead, and Shane was my favorite due to him being right nearly all the time, yet just constantly shoved to the side until he's needed.

        If you like survival group, apcolypse shows, I recommend Falling Skies. Falling Skies is about an Alien invasion, but based after the military lost, and so groups of civilians lead by small parts of the military are trying to survive, kill the aliens, and figure out why they're here.

    You don't want the zombie apocalypse to happen, you just want to shoot people in the face with no fear of repercussion.
    Trust me, a zombie apocalypse won't be like Left 4 Dead or any of the other games.

    Ah zombies, that last piece of guiltless violence. Killing people gives us guilt, even killing aliens is wrong now, but you never feel about about killing zombies.

    Well in the movies it's usually a small group that isn't infected against like 95% of the infected human population, so it's highly possible you become a zombie at the start of the apocalypse.
    I don't think it's fun chasing humans with just your teeth and the speed of a snail, while they carry guns and intelligence ;p

    I think because of video games and media, a zombie apocalypse seems fun as a complete social shock. Going from normal life to life/death survival sounds interesting, but probably isn't in reality. If you want it to happen just as an excuse so you can shoot people, like it sounded in your question, you might consider getting help.
