Is it normal that i want the right to dress how i like at work?

I am a crossdresser who much prefers to be en femme than dress in male clothes. I would like to dress full time but jobs with livable wages would never let me. Shouldn't I have that right?

It's normal that you want it. Society is unfairly more easier on female cross dressers then male ones. I cross dress. I'm a very androgynous person, but I wouldn't work somewhere if they insisted that I dressed like a female or if they gave me a hard time. I'm sorry that you have to deal with this bullshit. It makes me sad that all cross dressers don't have the same rights. Why aren't people protesting for equality on this?!

I think you should be able to ware what ever you want. But most company's have a dress code and you must follow it if you want to work there.

Well to be honnest, it would be very creepy and very awkward to walk into a bank, or a car-dealarship and the salesman is in a dress. I would walk out stright away!
Wear whatever you want, but at the workplace you should (and must) follow rules.
I want to go in my shorts and Las Vegas T-shirt at work too, but I can't. And I wouldn't. That would be bad for my clients. I can't talk about international spedition and stay with beach shorts. I have to wear trousers and a shirt, or other businesslike clothes. Not a suit, but sensible clothes.
I like the fact that you have to have a dress code at work. You can't do whatever you want there. It's work. It's serious and you want to make a good impression on your clients.

Dude, I know it sucks, but there are rules that you have to follow at work, and the dress code is one of the simplest ones to follow.

I would love to wear my countless tanktops at work, but we're required to at least look respectable, and wear shirts that cover the shoulders... which sucks for me, since my wardrobe consists mostly of t-shirts and tanktops. It's just something you're gonna have to deal with.

I work with someone who was at first a cross-dresser and is now a post-op transsexual. Admittedly, I work in a very liberal-minded sector, but there's nothing to stop you doing that too.

In short, yes, you should have that right, but you may find it easier to claim in some places than others.

Well, when you're working for someone you have to remember that there's rules you have to follow. Everything you do you represents them/your boss. Not only the way you dress is important, but the way you speak, how efficient your work is, yada yada.
