Is it normal that i want my girlfriend to depend on me?

My girlfriend is schizophrenic. She is medicated and in an extensive therapy program..

Her irrationality is very very severe, she is mostly disconnected from the world, socially she has no friends, family doesnt give a shit really.. and I'm the only person that still puts up with her.

And as sad as it is..I really like it. I like that, I like knowing I'm kind of her king, that she needs me and that I can help her. I can usually calm her down and she knows that I'm always here. I like being her everything and her anchor. Makes me feel great. but it is normal?

    I am dependent on my significant other very much. I can super understand that you like it. I love feeling that someone needs me, and that I can be there for someone, but please do what you can to get her more connected with the world.

    For her to get better she needs to learn to trust others and integrate with the world.

    Its like those stories you hear of people poisoning their partner or child because they cant stand the thought of them moving out or leaving them.

    You also have an illness that needs attention and professional help. Your not doing a good and selfless thing. Your being selfish and probably doing more damage than good
