Is it normal that i want my best friend to cut his hair?

Well my bestfriend is growing out his hair, and I've always liked him with short hair, because it just looks so much cleaner and everything, but lately he decided to grow out his hair and hes trying to look like brad pitt in the movie "troy"
I am his bestfriend so I decided to go and tell him how I felt. I just feel long hair on guys is dirty and ugly and makes him look so much like a girl and it's really pissing me off.
He told me I was judging him and best friends dont do that.
I feel bad because it bothers me and I just don't want to hang out with him anymore because of it.

I just don't like long hair.
is this normal? should I stop judging him?

    You would seriously be willing to break off your friendship with him because of his hair? Stop judging him, it's his choice, and that's kind of harsh. I mean, what if he suddenly wanted you to shave your head? It's okay that your being honest with him and stating your opinion, but try not to go overboard.

    Um... If a guy doesn't wash his hair, even short hair can be dirty.
