Is it normal that i want a ventriloquist puppet to be my best friend?

I know a friend at work who always carries a Peewee Herman ventriloquist doll with her. She doesn't really talk to it constantly. I know she had a TV show before, so it's a part of her entertainer persona.

I want to do the same thing but with an Amy Whinehouse doll. Not because I want to star on television, but just to talk to it and make it talk back (which I've never seen my friend do in real life, she only did it in the show). And I could say mean things and just blame it on drugged up Amy!

I have multiple personalities and want to express my other personalities through this doll. It would be nice to bring her along with me where ever I go. I talk to myself a lot and was wondering if it would be less weird to actually have the puppet to talk to?
