Is it normal that i want a fast pace druggie lifestyle?

I know it's stupid, but when I see tv shows or movies of celebrities or just fabulous people who have it all and also abuse drugs.. it just fascinates me and I would like to at one point in my life experience something like that. I have never done drugs (other than smoke weed, but is that even considered a drug anymore?) but I would like to dabble with a few here and there and see what it's like to really be high. Is it normal I want this lifestyle?

I mean... it's normal to be curious, but why are you curious about *that* shit? You don't wanna get into the shit that gets you hooked, it's not glamorous at all.

I became curious about drugs myself, but I went a different route... first I tried MDMA, then Salvia, then Acid, then Shrooms, and most recently (like half a year ago) DMT. Psychedellics are fascinating if used properly, but I researched this shit HEAVILY before I ever tried any of it. They're not going to kill you, (unless you dehydrate OR overhydrate on MDMA like that one girl) but these are things that MUST be used responsibly.

Psychedellics are not something you do to get "fucked up". These are consciousness altering drugs, purported by many (and in my personal opinion) to be mind expanding. Moderation is very important, as is set and setting, not being alone and having someone *sober* there to watch you. I've seen psychosis from a high dose of psilocybin and it is not pretty.

How old are you? Judging by what you're saying above, it doesn't sound like you're at all ready to dive into this shit. Curiousity is fine and dandy but wait until you've gained enough life experience to make the choice fully conscious of what it is that you're doing to your body.

No problem. I'm all for experimentation but you've gotta do it right, and safely. From what I've seen there aren't a lot of commenters on here who are well educated about drugs and what they do, so I try to keep an eye on this category so I can help people who are new to it.

I agree, people on this website and in general automatically seem to have such a biased and negative opinion when it comes to narcotics, that their opinion and advise automatically seems judgemental and one-sided. I do not at all advocate a lifestyle based on drugs, but on the other hand I do consider a drug-habit manageable and relatively safe compared to alcohol and cigarette abuse.

Yeah, most people don't want to do the research themselves so they just go off of whatever they're told... by friends, parents, the school... and none of those people tend to get it right.

It's kind of funny, because of the very nature of drugs the people who are most knowledgable are the ones that do them. At least, I tend to run with the "responsible partiers" so in my circle of friends everyone is very knowledgable, and I myself read up on everything there is to know about a drug before I try it. But, because we're "druggies" the non users won't listen to us when we

(My computer crapped out, sorry about that)

when we try to explain how these drugs work to them because "Oh you're druggies, I can't trust anything you say about it." -.- So you can't trust the person who has experience and has researched this shit, gotcha.

Though a small correction, narcotics only refer to drugs that tend to put you to sleep, it's most commonly used to describe opiates. A catch all term for mind altering substances is psychoactive. I'm a big proponent of psychedellics myself.

Yes, they're lives were pretty cool, but they are hardly the norm for "druggies".

OP, just dabble a little, its not like drugs are addictive.

Totally normal. A lot of people go through a curious phase where they want to try lots of different drugs. It's relatively harmless as long as you make sure that there Is a line you don't cross. I'm talking about crack, meth, and any and ALL opiates (heroin, morphine, prescription painkillers). Etc. I am a recovering heroin addict. I used I want the same thing. But hard drug addiction is infinitely less glamorous than movies and music may have you believe. It's filled with theft, lies, overdoses, suicide, losing your friends and family... I could go on an on. Drugs can be a fun way to enhance life, but don't ever let a substance take control of your life. It can be a slippery slope.

I have taken loads of drugs in my time and lived the exact lifestyle you talk about.

It can be amazing, some moments are to perfect for words. I love the chaos, the rebellion, the music, the empathy, all of it.

Problem is, it will catch up in the end, leaving you burnt out and depressed. Drugs change whats important in your life very quickly.

I will forever be a sucker for em...

stick to anything that grows from the ground, imo. Maybe try everything -once-. I had the absolute best day of my life while on a shroom trip. I've never tried any other harder drugs though

That life will kill you...and if it doesn't, it will make you a senile, miserable, sickly asshole for a large part of your life.

Drugs don't appeal to me so i can't really understand what you are going through.

I suppose the biggest addiction i had was chocolate bars i had like 10-15 a day at one point boy do i regret that now.

Stick to weed, I also find myself curious at times, but have never truely experimented with the hard core drugs. Weed makes me sane and I love it. Although I would like to. It all depends on if your ready for it. I have seen people get messed up from those drugs such as heroin, acid, and shrooms all because they didn't go into it with the right mindset.
