Is it normal that i wan't to destroy the planet?

It's just that everyone is too stupid to realize that the earth is in an infinite universe, and compared to the universe it's so small, it's invisible. I mean, there are stars out there ten times the size of out solar system alone, and people still think everything that happens here is such a huge deal. Everything is so insig-fucking-nificant that even if the planet just disappeared,it wouldn't matter at all. That and everything's gone to shit since the industrial revolution anyways.

Well, we live on THIS planet, and we can only survive on THIS planet. So it is pretty sig-fucking-nificant. And why does it matter anyways? And for that matter who says that we are ruining the planet? If we are making technological advances then why are we "destroying" the planet?!?

Do you really know where you are at this point in time and space, and in reality and in existence, when you look out the window and you're looking back at the most beautiful star in the heavens, the most beautiful because it's - it's the one we understand and we know it... it's home, it's humanity, it's people, family, love, life; and besides that it is beautiful. You can see from pole to pole and across oceans and continents, and watch it turn and there's no strings holding it up and it's moving in a blackness that is almost beyond... conception.

That would be Eugene Cernan during an Apollo mission. I love that everyone has that reaction. Gagarin's words are pretty amazing too.

The earth is indeed insignificant in the universe. What happens here is thus indeed unimportant in the grand scheme of things. BUT what happens here IS important to US and there's certainly NO need to want to destroy the planet.

Damn I hate this whole idea of returning to the dark age just to "save the planet"
As if it had that much influence. There have been and will be many more cycles of ice ages and global warming much worse than anything we've experienced so far over millions of years and at some point we'll be wiped away like so many species before us so why should we care what this piece of rock becomes after we die. It's just matter (calcium carbonates and iron oxide etc) and it won't be destroyed by us. One of my pet peeves is people who use the term mother nature or mother earth like it's some conscious thing.

IMPOSSIBLE! Earth cant be the only planet with what we need to survive. HELL! you remember the satulite that left the milkey way right? well it found a planet just like earth with oxygen and water...well the plants are a bit diffrent(there huge).it will only take four rockets about the size of vancouver to actualy live on four rocket for 5000 years. then land on the planet and start life as if we where on earth.(the planets name is ironically Earth2)

In other words, just because you think the world is important because it's all we've got, doesn't mean it is, and the fact that you think so is even more insignificant. This is why I want to blow things up. And the fact the world has let itself over populate to the point where in order to sustain the amount of people there are today, we need a system that revolves around lies and secrets. This isn't just nationally either.

    ehm.. man..WTF?
    Point one:The universe isn't infinite.
Point two:I doubt the planet can be destroyed..
It can be turned into a lifeless desolate wasteland as far as the eye can see,but it would still be revolving around the sun, without any life on it,but still,a planet.
Everything happening on the planet, earth,is important because it sustains life. Our life.
No matter how boring it can be or predictable, this is unfortunately the only planet where life can exist. For now.
Point three:It can't just disappear. So the thought is pointless. And guess what?If it disappeared,it would have effects on the whole solar system and whole universe, but it's still a dumb thought, since it is just where it supposed to be.And there are no forces in the universe capable of making it disappear.Except for the sun, that will swallow it whole about 5 billions years from now.Give or take. And even then,It will not just disappear. It will fuel the sun, that will then implode and turn into a white dwarf.Matter can't disappear. It can only turn into other matter,or energy.Heat.Radiations.And so forth...
The industrial revolution, has been a big TURNING point, for humanity, and perhaps one of the major steps towards big changes in human nature, and their way to interact and exploit the environment, but from that,to saying "everything turned to shit",there is a big space.A big difference.Nobody can tell for sure where all those technological advancement will lead Us,and by Us I mean the whole humanity.
One thing is sure tho:If it never happened,if humans stayed anchored to nature, they would have lived longer as a species.May sound far fetched to you, but, humans were never meant to last very long.Like the dinosaurs did. It's our purpose to change the planet, drop out of it,and make space for a new species that we will create.Us being the ancestors.
The ones who will be found fossilized.
Like dinosaurs. And it was about time if you ask me.I was getting sick of the homo sapiens anyway. And by the way,Valkeer, there is no God.
There is no being of any kind caring for the destiny of humanity and earth. And,you can't really classify what the universe contains in order of importance.Important to who or what?Contains isn't even the right term, since everything is a part of it.It's not like a bag of toys containing your favorite toy.And God isn't a big flashy thingy playing with his toys. And earth isn't his favorite toy.You have an antropocentric godly unoriginal point of view.I typed too much. Now I feel drained and tired.Dead tired.

yes it is infinite. cuz EVERY thing is part of the universe. the universe isnt just a bunch of planets and stars. (trust me my dads a scientest)

I wish the industrial revolution never happened because the last thing people ever needed was another thing to compete and fight over. That being invention, and technology. I get that it's the only habitable planet we know about, but that doesn't mean there isn't more out there, and everyone on this planet is so self conceited about how important they are, they forget that they're just on a flying speck of sand, and they're no bigger to our universe than an atom is to us. The people here have accomplished nothing but war and disturbing media, it just deserves to be blown up. I don't care if it's possible, I just want it to happen.

I think that you need to rethink a few things. Sure, we may be one of the billions of planets in the universe, but Earth is our planet. As previously stated it is our home, it's the only thing that we know and without it we would literally die and no longer exist. So do you really hate everything more than you love your own life?
