Is it normal that i wake up

Is it normal that I wake up in the middle of the night and I can't go back to sleep because I'm scared something is watching me.

I think I've put this on another post, but I'll say it again. I'm scared of the dark (horror movie monsters and shit, really), and the way I deal with it is I talk to the monsters, even though I know they're not real. Before bed, for instance, if I'm nervous while I'm turning off the lights, I'll say "Goodnight, monsters! Please stay hiding until I'm in the bedroom, and then please stay out here to do your monster business. I won't sleep well if you come into my room." It sounds really stupid, but it actually helps.

I don't know if this will help you, but it helps me a lot. You can also try going to sleep listening to audiobooks. It's best to pick something you've read before that has a relaxing reader. I like to listen to the Harry Potter audiobooks, read by Stephen Fry. That way, if you wake up, there's something there to fill your head with thoughts from the book instead of thoughts of what's watching you or what's in your closet or whatever. I hope that helps!

-_- I had a nightmare about slender man even though I am not scared of him. I was walking in a corn field that is outside my house and I saw him in the back round behind a tree I laughed but it truly is fucking scary to have him watching you where ever you went I put up with him appearing where ever I went for what seemed like a eternity at the end of my dream I was in my room and he appeared out side my door and asked if I wanted some juice I think I dreamed that one because I saw a joke on some web sight with him giving a little girl some juice because she was thirsty. But when I woke up I was so fucking paranoid.

I feel like some scary things are watching me planning to attack me when I'm in the dark but for some reason I feel safer under a blanket or sheet, which ever since that time i got pushed by a ghost has been completetly implausible because i got pushed by the ghost in the dark while being halfway asleep under a blanket.

It's an irrational fear, but just because it's irrational, doesn't make it any less real. When it happens to me, I leave the light on the rest of the night. Distraction can help. When I was a kid, my dad always told me to rationalise the fear away. That usually made it worse...

    Nothing is watching you, though.
