Is it normal that i violently shiver no matter the temperature?

So sometimes I experience a terrible and violent shivering that focuses around my spine and ribs in particular. When this occurs I am rarely cold so it can't be the body trying to keep itself warm. I've had this my whole life and it is extremely painful and can strike without warning.

It does often occur at the same time of having a terrible and mind-numbing headache so I was wondering if it was linked to fever in anyway? I cannot generally think straight when the headache/shivering occurs and so this might be another symptom of deliriousness that comes with a fever?

Any feedback would be helpful, thanks.

I think those are muscle spasms and you should go see a doctor about that.
