Is it normal that i've only had two serious crushes in my life?

I'm 19 and I've never had a significant other. Right now, I have a serious crush on this one person and I realized that I haven't felt this way in almost 6 years. I've been attracted superficially or briefly to others, but these two times were the only ones that I consider serious crushes where I can't seem to stop thinking about the other person. How normal is this?

(Also, anyone have any tips on getting over crushes? I know it will never work out with this person. It's killing me...)

    I was thinking exactly the same thing, in exactly the same situation as you except I'm 17, just means you know what you want I guess

    its probs cos u dont quite realize it but u know what u like and its a very specific kinda guy tht u notice in tht way which is why u only properly noticed 2

    As one bloke to another, it's much better to live a life of regret than one of wondering what might have been. Try and make it work at least, I know it's harder than it sounds but you'll be doubtful in years to come if you don't do anything.

    Sorry to hear mate, I've been in 'love' with someone I will never be with for the last 4 years. It fucking sucks. Although I have no suggestions on how you can overcome it, I can assure you that you are not the only one in this shit situation. Hope for the best, take each day as it comes. Goodluck!
