Im 20 years old and I have never had a boyfriend. I don't know if I have some weird stigma with me or whats going on. I was voted one of the prettiest girls at my high school (Im not trying to brag I just want to give some perspective to those who might be thinking I was delt the ugly card, and thats the reason right there). I'm very shy and maybe that could be something to. I just don't know whats going on.

    I feel that same way. I'm almost 22 and never had a boyfriend. I'm not desperate for one either, even though there have been guys I've liked and they knew or know I like them. I guess I haven't met the right one yet. He's somewhere out there and the same goes for you.

    Here is something that annoys me.

    Guys always say that shy girls are hot, but that is clearly a total lie. The number of stories on here about shy girls being eternally single proves it. Guys don't want a shy girl at all, no matter how pretty they are. It seems to me that if you want a boyfriend your best bet is to be a total slut and put out to every guy you meet.

    Or you could be yourself, stop worrying because it is normal, and believe that the right guy will come along eventually. Because chances are that he will.

      I've heard the same thing but observed different results. The guys who say they like shy girls tend to be shy as well. The OP's looks could be too intimidating.

      Hey dom180,
      Maybe a lot of men think that way, but not ALL do. Some men look at the substance a woman has whether she's shy or not. Granted, it's much harder for a man to get to know a lady is she's shy, but it's not impossible at all.

    It is very normal, in fact i love girls like you shows that you are waiting for the right guy to come by and don't worry be patient he will come and sweep you off your feet.

      the hottest ones are definitely the most insecure ones. Beauty is a curse in my opinion. Don't even live in reality because of it.

        Thats pretty deep. I feel this isnt always 100% true , even though I was the one who said it in the first place.. Like I know some pretty hot people who aren't insecure. Myself included lol.

    LOL at dealt the ugly card! But really, I didn't have my first bf til 20 and I'm not too bad on the eyes. You just have to wait for one to come along. I used to think i'd never get a bf either just because I never dated through high school. Keep your chin up and your eyes open!

    Stop being shy. It's not hot idk what guy likes that. My girlfriend and I are almost opposites. She's loud and random, she doesn't care what anyone thinks. I'm definately not shy but just a more mellow quiet guy. I find girls that know what they want and aren't afraid to be loud and say what they want, attractive.
