Is it normal that i've never been to my uncle's house?

My uncle lives about 45 minutes away from where I live, and he's fairly close to my parents and grandparents.

Here's the thing, though: I've never been over to his house. Ever. Now, his excuse, since I was a little girl, has always been, "My house is messy". That has ALWAYS been his excuse. He's never invited us over, he's never shown any interest in it; every time myself, my parents, or my grandparents recommended that we see his house, he would always use that same exact excuse: "My house is messy". We have since stopped asking him about his house because he always gives us the same answer, and we haven't asked him about it in years.

But even as a kid when I heard this, his excuse was always really flimsy and dumb: he's a bachelor, in his late 50s, and doesn't do anything except for work. Work is all he does. So doesn't he have some time to clean up his house and at the very least invite us over or something? My grandma went over to his house ONE time, and he got mad because he thought that she was "snooping".

I've been starting to suspect that my uncle has some sort of secret life because of how dismissive he is about his house.

    Theres a few possibilities here.
    1. he's a hoarder.
    2. he has a meth lab.
    3. he is homeless.
    4. he is hiding dead bodies.
    5. he just doesnt like you.
    6. all of the above.

    The most likely anwser is #6.

    Why is it any of your business?
    If you want to help him, ask to visit his house, when he says no because its messy, offer to help him clean. When/if he says no, drop it...because it's none of your business.

    Your uncle is a hoarder.
    A form of obsessive compulsive disorder in which the inflicted compulsively 'hoards' various items [typically junk to the un-hoarded eye] they deem as useful and valuable and are intensely afraid to let go of these items.
    It's a sad materialistic condition, unfortunately it's part of life though.

    Your uncle might be a hoarder. The fact he says his house is messy indicates that. I had older relatives (now deceased) who were hoarders. They never threw anything away, not even used paper tissues, so there house was filled with old stuff. As a child I always hated visiting them for that reason. If your uncle really is a hoarder you are lucky you've never had to visit him. Of course there could be other reasons besides hoarding why your uncle does not want to invite family members to his house.

    2) He has a cheap filipino woman that he sexually abuses night and day.

    3) He is a murderer and doesn't want you to find out.

    4) He is in love with you and doesn't want to risk sexual attacks towards you.

    5) He is gay and lives with his bf.

    6) He is a pedophile and is hiding kids in his basement.

    7) He is a cross dresser.

    8) He is anti-scocial, hates talking and talking to people.

    9) He is just plain old private - leave him be.

    10) He is creating a Skat porn house.

    11) He is embarassed because he is a Furry.

    12) My little pony fan.

    13) He and your mother had practised incest and you are their spawn.

    14) He hates you all.

    15) He hates everyone in general.

    16) Is preparing to commit ritual suicide.

    17) Is a terrorist.

    18) Is trying to contact demons and doesn't want you affected.
