Is it normal that i've never been in a relationship?

I'm in high school and a boy has recently asked me out, but I'm not interested in him and I said no. It's not that I don't want a relationship, but I just don't see the point in causal dating just for fun because I'd rather be in a serious relationship with someone who really cares about me. Is that weird?

It has to be casual before it turns into something serious . . You have to crawl before you walk.

You are only in high school, of course it's normal for you to have never been in a relationship with someone before. Many of the people I know didn't start getting into relationships until after they graduated high school. I dated only one guy in high school and it turned out to be a disappointment.

Some people just prefer long term, serious dating rather than casual, call-you-whenever hook ups.

It all depends on the guy... if you can see he's just a player than yea completely normal but if he's earnestly asking you out than i think you should give him a chance, love comes in different shapes and forms even if you aren't interested in him now, you would be surprise how quickly that can change. imo it's like inception combined with psychology, your mind only needs one small idea about him that you love then all hell can break loose :P
