    You "dated," past tense? What happened? Or are you still dating? And if not, what's the difference between what you did then and now? Because if you're LDD (long distance dating, but I'm sure you knew that) that's normal. If the relationship ended, but you're still friends, it's still normal, unless one or both of you is in a relationship IRL, which would make it seem not normal (well, it happens, but it's not exactly moral to some people, that's why they feel that way). Anyway, since Idk the whole story I can't say for sure what the most appropriate opinion would be, but since you do, I hope you got an answer from all those possible scenarios.
