I've been on this site for on and off five years now. At first yeah it was exciting and interesting because I never heard of people getting licked by their dogs but recently... I don't know I feel really uninspired by the stories :// For the old users do you get bored of the site sometimes?
I'm the second oldest member of IIN still visiting this hellhole.
Well, it does get repetitive with some of the posts we get on here but with newer members it giving new perspectives to such posts keeps me going.
I see this website as more of an outlet for my inner nerdiness than I do as a form of entertainment. In real life, if I spoke to people the way I speak here in terms of my style of speech... Well, I would not be very well liked at all. I'd probably be accused of behaving like a lil bitch. It's ridiculous. It's nice to be able to come here on a regular basis and be myself. It only gets boring here if I don't see any stories that I'm eager to put my words in on so I guess that's the boring I feel here, sometimes.
Oldish user here. Yeah, the site has lost its charm. It was interesting the first while being on here because like you said, everything was new but now it's just repeat after repeat.
I think it's a mixture of the above reason and the community. IIN is going downhill.
It almost seems to be turning into a 'shock tv' formula, or even Penthouse forum. I haven't been here that long but the absolutely stupidly unlikely sex stuff with sister/cousins, mommas, dogs/cats, and even daddies is nothing short of a waste of post space, IMO. I really don't see any of it as being real (except those few from hill folk).
Then you get the morons who ask why their doctor's $500.00 scale reads differently from their $20.00 bathroom scale. Is this a question any reasonably even unintelligent human being needs to ask here or anywhere else? Really? And yet they do. Amazing.
One change for the better it seems, is that there seem to be fewer mean spirited people posting on here these days.
If the last 18 months is a gauge, the underage ones still appear now and then, often completely humiliating themselves, but I'm guessing the age spectrum has widened considerably, with more older posters joining in.
Those with 3 or more years can probably let us know if this stuff is cyclic.
Yeah, it's cyclic. We have troll/stupid ass teen waves that come and go. The site only really has been accused of losing quality due to the management changing things in regards to what posts do and don't go through and certain user chemistries changing due to different combinations of users being here or not being here and so forth.
This site was better when shitheads like me and many of the older users actually actively posted stories but, for differing reasons, we do not anymore. There's no longer much of a balance between just stupid, shitty and repetitive questions and tongue in cheek jokes, quality stories, good questions to make you think or common interest polls, you know?
