Is it normal that i usually forget to eat?

I don't feel hungry anymore and I'm usually busy when I wake up so I forget to eat. Is this normal? I don't eat until dinner time and even then I don't have much of an appetite. It's pretty much a habit now. I try forcing myself to drink blended fruit/veggie juice in the morning now just to get something in but drinking it makes me want to throw up because I really, really, really don't feel hungry/want to consume anything. IIN?

    i sometimes wish i was like this, then i remember things like chicken and 2-minute noodles and toast and cake and biscuits and chocolate and lasagne and spaghetti bolognese and cheese and pate and i remember how damned good food is and i never want to give it up.

    I forget to eat when I'm at a convention, or at work, or reading/writing something I've really immersed myself in. Which is usually all the time. I really only eat on my days off when I have nothing more important to do. As far as not really being able to keep much down by dinner, it's likely because your stomach has been shrinking all day, and by eating more than a fistful of food, you're stretching it past its limits. It's totally normal, it's just not healthy.

    I think it's totally normal! I forget to eat a lot of the time, generally because I'm busy with other things or mainly because I don't enjoy eating very much, so it tends not to cross my mind.

  • I actually do think it's normal, If you are busy all the time. When your stomach is used to it it's normal that you don't have much of an appetite.

    I feel gross eating in the morning too, and lots of my friends agree.
    Most of the time, when I'm home alone, I only notice I'm hungry when I see that I somehow walked to the kitchen without thinking about it. :p
    It's normal. I recommend you put timers for yourself (once maybe every two or three hours) reminding you to get a tiiiiny snack. Eventually your body will get used to it and you can get rid of the timers.

    Was food interesting to you at one point? Sometimes I just flat out lose my appetite if there's nothing good to eat, and I love food.

    • I used love food. But now that I live alone, I just don't feel like eating it anymore. There's no one to remind me to eat, like when they eat, I remember to eat too. I do binge sometimes but rarely anymore.

        What about at work? Or are you generally isolated?

        Eating is such a communal thing anyways. Tribes always ate/eat together, it's in our DNA.
