Is it normal that i use sleeping pills like this?

Alright, here's the deal. I can sleep properly, I can dream properly, and function like every other human being- without the aid of sleeping pills.
The reason I'm using them, is because they knock me out. I'll be sitting in my chair, after taking one, and bam. I'm out cold. I'll be out for a while, and then I'll wake up. I don't need it, but I find myself using them like a smoker smokes. If I get nervous, I take one. I won't always go to sleep. I'll sometimes fall into a weird, half asleep, half awake zombie state. I'm acting like I'm on auto, but I feel so much better after. I don't feel fear, or anxiety, or much of anything. I enjoy this sensation, but is it normal?
It's becoming to the point where it has become an integral part of my breakfast. Orange juice, oatmeal, and a sleeping pill. That's my breakfast, and my dinner has the pill too. Is this normal? If not, do you have any advice?

...what kind of weird ass pills are you taking? They seem incredibley strong, another thing, if you don't need the sleeping pills don't take them. Simple, they're not exactly good for you even for people who do need them

Sounds like a addiction. Be careful how many you take, you don't want to overdose on them. People sometimes commit suicide by overdosing on sleeping pills. (not to say that you're suicidal) I take this anti-histamine and for a hot second I could feel that I was becoming almost dependent on it, but I thankfully got over that. Now, I only take it when needed. How do you function in the day if it knocks you out? If you want sleep without the danger try: 1. Hot milk. You can sweetened and flavour it to your liking. 2. Cherries. Cherries have melatonin and are considered "natures ambien". I hear bananas can also have the same effect. Blend them up in a smoothie or buy black cherry juice. 3. Coffee. I don't know how caffeine effects you, but caffeinated always knocks me out. Decaf works quite well too. Meditate to find inner peace. Listen to music or read a book. Wean yourself from this negative habit.

    Good luck:)

Just say 'yes' and do snowballs. . Aka heroin and crack in the same needle, main line that and all your worries will be far away. . Best advice i was ever given

  • Maybe you should do pain killers instead. They relax you, but you can also function throughout the day. Much better high and it won't impair any of your abilities unless you're completely fucked up from them

You are abusing sleeping pills, ergo, you do not function like any other normal human being. Period. Also because not all human beings function the same way.If you are gonna talk to me anout levels of efficiency I tell you right now that you do not need to be a frenzied out person to actually enjoy life.
Trouble is that today everyone is just in such a fucking hurry,so you use the sleeping pills to take the edge off of that incredibly demanding lifestyle. You should probably consider the possibility of suffering innthe near future because of some severe debilitating side effect of the pills you are taking that is gonna make you definitely not a functional human being like any other.
