To each his own. I think people try to look the way they want themselves to look. Some of them do it to look the way they think others will find them attractive.

I'd love to be Asian.. Most of them have such nice skin and hair etc, that they can wear whatever they want or whatever's fashionable. I kind of like the "kawaii" look as you call it.. I didn't even know it was a stereotype XD but still, yeah.. stereotypes are annoying, especially when people are trying to be stereotypical on purpose, they should just be themselves and wear what they want.

I like Asians, but I seriously see what you mean about Lucy LIu. In my area the Asians don't cover themselves up in makeup all the time, and look just like they would in their own country, probably because there is a huge Asian population over here. They look significantly hotter than the type of Asians you described.

"Kawaii" just means "cute" in Japanese. So if you call it kawaii, that means you think it is cute. Hahahaha, oh the irony.

Anyway, that tanned look is called "ganguro". It's like the eastern version of the Jersey look. Hahaha. Frickin carrots.

And then there's the big eye contacts to give them the look of anime characters, "ulzzang" is the name. I think this look is hot by the way. Just the dumb faces that they make while taking not-so-cute pics gotta go.

But yea, to each their own. Everyone have different tastebuds. Just leave them be.

Yeah, it's normal. I hate the orange/tanning look that western like. I don't get it, there's nothing beautiful about looking like a carrot. It does promote being fake and narcissistic.
