Is it normal that i think spanish makes more sense?

I know it sounds strange to most people, but I think Spanish makes more sense than english does. Grammatically speaking. I'm a native English speaker but learning Spanish in school.

It's just that English has so many weird rules with even more exceptions. It doesn't make as much sense as other languages. Is it normal to like another language better than my own?

Im from spain and saying the before a name can be followed by the name of a person that you are familiar with, or it can be that you hate the person. Its always by te context

Spanish is more uniform, no doubt, the only weird thing I noticed about spanish is this:

When we say, for example, "Ve y dile a la mayra" or "la mayra dijo que si"

its that little word "la" which literally means "the" (a female the that is)

so translated in english would be "go and tell THE mayra" and "THE mayra said yes"

    Have you ever noticed that?

Well, that's not correct, sometimes people put "la" before the noun of a person, but it's grammatically incorrect. Usually it's used by old people, to make fun or to speak about someone you don't like.

The correct form would be "ve y dile a Mayra", "Mayra dijo que sí".

Spanish is definately more formulaic. Therefore, it makes more sense.

I believe the proper translation is "No hablo inglés muy bien."

    The proper spelling IS "grammatically".
