Is it normal that i think one chat room is not enough?

It's always the same crowd every night in chat and they literally dominate the place while a few stragglers stay quiet.

Let's just say the conversation topics are very youthful, most of them being sexual in nature. This can be utterly boring for those who might want to have an intelligent discussion about topics other than teenage masturbatory habits or hating on others.

Other than "muting" specific people, which is considered a hostile action by some in the chat, there doesn't seem to be a way to get around the dominant group's conversations.

I think having alternate chat rooms would solve this dilemma, don't you? Then there would be room for everybody.

I like having only one. 1
Two would be good. 3
A few would be even better. 5
I don't use the chat. 2
I hate the chat. 1

    I like the idea of having different chat rooms, but it feels pretty insulting to insinuate that the majority of us are sex-minded simpletons. It's also not very mature I think, to use insults.

    I mean, maybe you didn't mean it that way and I do understand, there's a lot of that kind of talk in there, but most people I've talked with if you just ask about something else, are actually really intelligent and kind.

    So yes, it would be nice to have other chat rooms (and private chat) but we're really not all that bad I think.

      You are right, it was not meant the way that you took it, sorry if it offended you.

      I said it CAN be utterly boring for those who are not interested in that sort of discussion. Which it is. I did not mean that you or anybody else who uses it are not intelligent and kind, just that the typical topics of the dominant group of users during the evenings are rarely about anything other than sex and flirtation. It is for this reason I think another chat room would be a welcome addition.
