Is it normal that i think my male friend is beautiful?

I've known this guy for years, and he's my best friend. Only quite recently I've found him attractive, but instead of thinking he is handsome or manly I think he's distinctly beautiful. Which is a little odd, since he doesn't have any outstanding feminine features. To clarify, I'm a straight male (in my early 20's). I just think he's really pretty and I like him a lot. Is this okay/normal? Has anybody else thought like this about anybody?

I have a male friend I find very beautiful but i'm not interested in him romantically. You can find someone beautiful platonically but only you know how you feel.

this is called aesthetic attraction! it’s when you find someone beautiful or handsome but aren’t interested in pursuing them romantically.
