Is it normal that i think my "friends" dislike me?

I'm somewhat of an introvert and I also have a bit of an inferiority complex. I feel like, whenever I walk into a room everyone goes "Oh no, it's her again." I have a few friends (3 or 4) that I love being around because I know they're my real friends and like me for who I am. Whenever I'm with a group of people, I sometimes turn into the "socially awkward penguin" meme, and I feel like people hate me because of this. I find myself thinking that my friends are only friends with me out of pity. Is that normal?

Oh yes.. I've been having some issues with paranoid behavior as well. Even though you might get the impression that you can actually "read their minds" - it's just yourself telling this. It's a very, very hard behavior to stop doing. Especially if you have had thoughts like this for a long period of a time.

Do you ever visit sites like SAS forums..? There are many people out there with Social Phobia and Social Anxiety who feel the exact same way as we may. I recommend joining that site. It will be a lot easier to accept yourself knowing that you're not the only one.. After all. ;)
