Is it normal that i think long fingernails look slutty and trashy?

Well what exactly do you mean by long nails? Like hideous, curved, square-at-the-end fake nails that always look horrendous? Or natural, not freakishly long nails?

I'm not a fan either but you're no one to tell people how should they look so deal with it.

Yeah I'm not a fan of long nails either. Long nails seem like a overdone vanity thing. Like wearing 7" heals and sporting a flashy purse. To me it's gaudy and bleh. They also seem very inconvenient. Always breaking and bumping into shit when you try to do something simple.

If you don't like them, don't wear them. I'm sure you wear things other people don't like, too, but that's the beauty of being autonomous, sentient individuals -- we get to choose how we dress ourselves.

It's normal not to like something, but it's kind of shitty to assume that because you don't like the way it looks, it must mean the wearer is dirty, classless or a whore. Why the mean-girl, judgmental attitude about other people's fashion choices?

Long fingernails as in fake nails or period? I never wear fake nails but my natural nails are are fairly long. I'm a little disturbed that you would think that.. I mean I think they just look feminine?

I don't like long nails. There's just a stigma about it that I can't quite put my finger on. I don't assume that the wearer is slutty because of it though. I just find that they care a lot about minute details and how they're perceived vanity wise.

I never thought of it this way but I agree. I've never liked my nails long, it definitely does feel dirty. Like, all that bacteria that would just thrive and breed under there... Ew.
And I totally agree with the point you made about long nailed girls not being able to wipe themselves. Plus, it's true that they wouldn't be able to defend themselves too.

I've been a fan/had a fetish for long nails for years. Hot older sister keeps hers long during the school year (she's in the field), then let's them go as long as possible, sometimes to 2+ inches. Hit 3" one Summer, and was on a hot red or jet black polish kick. People would stop her to compliment her nails, and I had tons of fun with them. Women I've dated usually have long nails and pretty hands and fingers, and some have tried to model themselves after hot sister's.

I personally adore girls with really long nails (at least a few inches or more)...yes I am well aware very long nails are not for everyone but it saddens me when people make really mean comments about them saying their nails are disgusting or gross or something :(

Long fingernails are slutty and trashy on trashy girls, but sexy on sexy girls. Just like high heels looks slutty on a slutty girl but not on a sexy one. Its simple as that. Long fingernails doesn t make an ugly girl look pretty, but they do make a lady look sexy. Fact is that trashy girls go for crazy nail art or ugly fake nails which make them look extra trashy, while a slylish girl would make the richt choice for her nails.

i like my nails. they always grow really long and i take care of them making sure theres no dirt on/around/under them.

i like nails, but then again they don't always have to be long, i like painting them esp, matching a outfit, i believe it shows you really do take pride in yourself and shows to others that your on top of all aspects of a beauty routine
