Is it normal that i think little girls dress like adults?

I'm an after school program leader and I fell like %85 of my female students wear clothes that are for older girls or like what older girls wear is now okay to have younger girls wear (ie: yoga pants, miniskirts, skintight jeans, etc). I think it may be the only person that feels this way, since I was really sheltered as a kid, and that I'm just not looking at this the right way.

    It always creeps me out a bit when I see small children wearing heels and an outfit you'd expect to see an adult wear (in bigger sizes, though, obviously:P). I mean, dressing up every now and again as your favourite princess or fancy costume or whatever is fine, in my opinion. It does feel weird seeing kids wear adults clothes, I know what you mean.

    You're not just thinking it. Girls are being sexualized at a much younger age these days. It's a big issue that no one seems to bat an eye at, but it needs to stop.

    You are right. For Christ's sake they make thongs for kids. It is pretty fucked up.

      It's ok, they have straps that go around their ankles so they don't fall off.

    You're right. I find it sick... I wish they would stop sexualizing women so much in general, but children especially.

    Where I'm from (North Carolina aka Bible Belt territory) this isn't terribly common, so when I moved here to California and saw it for the first time, I was absolutely FLOORED.

    I was in a mall food court and I saw a two year old... a baby! Wearing skinny jeans and a skin tight tank-top. I was just... I couldn't believe it. Her Mom was wearing the same. IMO girls shouldn't be showing off those parts until they're at least old enough to truly understand what the fuck they're for. It's their Moms that are the problem. Look at those kids' Moms and you'll see where the little girls get their fashion sense from.

    I'm all for women's sexual liberation, but a 13 your old girl should not be sexually liberated.

    What are they supposed to wear when they do yoga?

    Miniskirts, and heels is not right though.

    I was shopping at Macy's and went to the child's section for fun, and I saw a shirt that exposed the shoulders and back. I'M NOT KIDDING. Yeah, you would think that they wear an undershirt, BUT NO. The model wearing the shirt HAD NO UNDERSHIRT. Just letting you guys know about my fun adventure.
