Is it normal that i think it would be nice to live in the wilderness?

I currently live in a suburban area and live alone. Every once and awhile, I think about life alone in the wilderness. It might be nice to go out, build a nice cabin and survive there. I could just be alone and do whatever I wanted, free from society. I wouldn't have to go to work, pay bills or deal with annoying people. I think humans miss that primordial instinct of surviving and hunting. That today's society is just too easy and structured perhaps? Just a thought. There would be times when I would rather live in society, for say the internet or Starbucks, but I think it would be nice to live in the wild. I think a nice compromise might be to move to a rural area and maybe have a job that requires traveling and the wild so I don't feel stuck in one place. Thoughts perhaps?

Oh your magnificence, thank you sooo much for taking the time out of your very busy social life to fraternize with us pathetic pieces of excrement.

Your wisdom and kindness are what brings us all back day after day. We seek to learn from you superior ways, all the while knowing we could never come close to your level of almighty awesomeness.

This is why we feel it would be best that we banish ourselves to the vast wilderness so that you may live out your days without having to stop and scrape us off your shoes every step of the way.

      Thank you and good day.

I may be antisocial, but not a degenerate. Thank you for your generalization (sarcasm)

P.S. TheGhostOfReason. I am not the person who wrote all the extreme population posts. I have no idea what your talking about

      • I know that it looks like I was implying that. I may have been a little suspicious, but your replies don't seem the same as theirs;)

For the record, I live in the country because I like a reasonable amount of isolation, solitude, and I'm an outdoorsman.

        ...I'm not a degenerate either.

Actually no. They are different people. It just happens that a bunch of weirdos gathered around this site to form some kind of clique of people who share the same pathetic views.

I want to live wherever Bella from Twilight lives. It looks nice with all the rain and trees. I would be worried about Tics though. They love to hang out in wooden areas.

I think living alone in the wild would be tough, regardless of how easy/hard it would be to survive.

i mean the being alone would be a win lose situation being able to do pretty much what ever you want would be cool but i would miss modern conveniences such as the internet and mcdonalds

Because I am a manly man pulsating with seething virility covered in thick tangled mats of coarse body hair covering my chiseled good looks.

Hello... my name is Virgil Manly, I shit outdoors.

I'm the same way. I feel most secure in the forest in the neighborhood where I grew up but couldn't stand living without a coffeshop two blocks away.
