Is it normal that i think i have parasites after a nightmare?

So I had this strange dream last night where my friend was a doctor and she diagnosed me with parasites. When I woke up I felt like the dream was real and really thought I had them, so I googled stuff about parasites. I ended up finding this article where someone was talking about this worm called ascariatis (or something like that anyway) that had migrated to the back of her throat. She experienced symptoms related to acid reflux, a thick and swollen feeling in the back of her throat as if it was clogged with mucus, sinus headache pain difficulty swallowing, and shortness of breath, which are all symptoms that I have had for a while. This increased my fear and the whole day I have been in a state of paranoia although rationally thinking, it wouldn't make any sense for me to have this parasite in me. The symptoms could be explained by me having chronic sinusitis, which is what my doctor told me I most likely have.

Is this fear rational?
DO you think I might be infected?

You might have parasites. Some people who have gotten parasites have complained about nightmares and weird sensations. Have you been somewhere in which you could have contracted some?

Your fear isn't rational if it's based on a dream and a frantic Google search. Parasitic infestations are rare in the U.S. and other industrialized nations, for one thing. For another, ascaria are roundworms; they live in your bowel, not the back of your throat. A lot of what you read when you Google weird health problems comes from people who themselves have irrational or pathological fears and little medical knowledge.

I did a quick Google of the problem myself just now, and some idiot was talking about taking yogurt and colloidal silver for "parasites." Colloidal silver will turn your skin gray. It's quack medicine for imaginary problems. Don't be one of those people.

It might help to talk to your doctor about your fears. Even if you did have some kind of parasite problem -- and you would be very rare if you did -- it would be easily cured.

    Parasites freak me out!
If youre feeling squeamish take some kind of cleanse like with wormwood and cloves, tiny bugs hate that. And lots of garlic and coconut oil.
