use nicknames instead of their real names. I'm not really into rap music but when I'm bored I'll search up random famious people and this is how I have come to this conclusion. The reasons that rappers don't use their real names is because their real names are some of the nerdiest/wimpiest names on the planet. For example: Earl (DMX), Marshall (Eminem), Tracy (Ice-T), Artis (Coolio), Alvin (Xzibit), Clifford (Method Man & T.I)), Howard (Chinggy), Percy (Master P), Cornell (Nelly) ect...
I understand why they go with the name change though You may look and act tough but if your name is Howard you lose all your intimidation level.
