Is it normal that i think funerals make things worse?

Yeah, yeah, funerals are all about closure. Am I just a coldhearted bastard, or am I normal to think that it's a great recipe for depression to have a bunch of sad people all bawling about the same thing, circled around a corpse? How about if someone just dies, and if you really, really, want to visit the body, you can do it privately? I'd just rather forget that, for example, my parents ever existed, rather than have a sob party over it all. What do you think?

I agree 100%. They're a depressing waste of money and time.

Yeah, I guess if that's what you've experienced. Not to mention they're expensive as fuck.

For me, I like funerals. I don't live too close to most of my family so every time there's a funeral, it's like a mini family reunion.

I hate to go to funerals, I want to avoid them as much as possible. But I think a lot of people feel better when they experience sadness with other people.
