I'm so atheist that I actually laugh to myself when someone admits they're religious because the idea seems so preposterous.
I don't have a problem with the people themselves, but their views I do.
I don't have problem religion but I hate people who try to force their views on others (like you). They are the ones who need to get slapped.
it's perfectly normal to laugh at religion as it is only a tool that's used to try and explain the unexplainable.. like why you're a douche-bag. That still remains a mystery to the rest of the world along with when the exact day that God will come out of "nowhere" and laugh in your face for being an ignorant fool. the point is, God is not in religion, he/she/it is inside all of us as the life-force that gives your unforgiving face any ability to exist in the first place! you don't need religion to know God, but if being agnostic doesn't even work for you then all i can say is happy hunting for the easter bunny on judgment day! the eggs are everywhere- but where is the chicken?? well, if you run away from god, then you are the chicken.. and all those "golden" eggs of knowledge will be rotten like your faith. I don't expect you to get it, but believe me one day (if you're still around) you will understand.
Just remember that they also have a problem with your view, no one has a more superior view.
I'm a catholic, and I don't think anyone should be slapped unless they try to force that religion on you. It's your choice in what you believe in, not theirs. -Wants to slap them too in a way-
Well I'm catholic but i honestly don't really believe in it much, I have read the bible 7 or 8 times since I was in 5th grade but I have a hard time believing it, I think it's normal to be athiest but not to show disrespect for others beliefs, although we do it all the time to Muslims who dominate women, it's their belief the exact same as people who believe in god, I personally think it's horrible but it deserves the same respect as your beliefs because that is their way of life and the could see you the same way
well atheism is a belief just as much as any religion, so i'm not really sure how that's normal...
Well it's ok to not agree with their opinions but as long as u don't discriminate or anything it's ok
I'm athiest/agnostic too. Religious people piss me off soooooo bad!! Especially when they try to convert you. I think everyone should keep their mouths shut and their beliefs to themselves because nobody else wants to hear it!! Also, nobody that is alive really knows what happens when you die. Religion is basically "living to die." Rather than living in the moment, people restrict themselves so they'll get into "heaven" for good behavior. Plus, if all athiests are going to hell, count me in cuz all the athiests I know are pretty cool people!

I mean if anyone has to even read about your short-sighted point of views then by all means THAT (by the way) is just as much torture for anyone reading/listening to you as someone trying to spew their own idiotic nonsense out into the world for the sake of "saving your soul." It doesn't matter if god is real or not, you've already made up your mind (maybe 2yrs too soon??)about where you want to go when you die.. you're so blind by your own ignorance that you wouldn't even recognize Jesus if he was floating over a bed of water right in front of you! that's what faith is.. removing the veil of ignorance, which you still have wrapped so tightly around your own head i'm surprised you haven't suffocated to death already. The funny think is that atheists complain that religion is being shoved down their throat when their just as bad.

When god physically comes to me and shows his face, I will believe there is a god. Otherwise there is simply a scientific explanation for everything, we just may not have discovered it yet.

It Isn't normal to laugh at others because of their beliefs. It means that you have no courtesy for others.
I will believe it when I see it. Until then I'm not investing any part of my life to religion. I agree it's stupid. I believe they are all fantasies that have gone way to far!!! Science is fact, religion has never been proven to be a fact of life - any of them!!! Ppl are nutty and killing other ppl over religion- when their religion deems it a sin to kill. How does this make sense??? WTF????

You should be a little bit more respectful on people views on religion. Whether you may believe or not this world would be a mess without religion.
If someone believes in a God, just let them create the illusion that they're going somewhere after they die.
I'm Christian, and it hurts to know that we piss you off so badly. Personally, I believe in my religion because of feelings, experiences, and voices I have heard. I have severe depression, and my religion is the only reason I haven't committed suicide. I say: don't knock it till you've tried it. If you begin to just open your heart to God, he will show himself. Then it will be undeniable.
Aubrie... I'm not trying to be condescending honey, but if you have severe depression, hearing voices may mean you have psychotic depression. I'm getting checked out for hearing voices soon, you may want to see a professional.
Well, I think mastersash up there could use a slap, but I don't care what anyone believes as long as they don't rule my life. I believe if there's any kind of higher power, its the consciousness that came into being whenever matter started to understand itself. Ie. Mankind becoming conscious, thinking, reasoning beings. But just because something can't be explained doesn't mean it doesnt exist... I don't think we would ever fucking know if there were gods or mystic beings or higher levels of consciousness, because it would be beyond our understanding and why would they pay attention to us anyway?
So don't worry about shit and live your life, cus the only people who know what happens after you die can't tell us, so we won't know tim they get there

I'm atheist and I think other peoples' religion is their own business. I don't like the zealots though, they are crazy! Cuckoo! Ha, ha, ha.

I see no problem in religion until it starts to affect your judgement on what you do that affects other people. If you're a bible thumper who tells people they're going to hell before you would help them off the street I think religion is wrong. If you're an atheist who would spite a christian who was down on their luck simply because of bias, I think that atheism is wrong.
Telling people that they are wrong in their ways doesn't inspire love it inspires hate, and it goes both ways; whether you're religious or not.
