C'mon people. I'm sure if WET was made there would be an uproar. We should ask ourselves what racism really is...

WET is a stupid idea. Have you watched TV lately? Most shows are comprised mainly of, if not exclusively of, white people. Most of television IS white entertainment television. Most commercials are geared toward white people. While there is increasingly more ethnic diversity in mainstream TV, there isn't enough to make my general statement anything less than true.
Is BET racist? No. It accomodates the cultural differences that many African Americans have from white people and incorporates this into their programs. Have I seen white people portrayed in a racist and stereotypical manner on BET? Yes. But no more so than I have seen blacks portrayed in that manner on other TV stations.
Seriously, get the hell over it. I don't see anyone complaining about Telemundo, the Christian Evangelical channels, Oxygen, Lifetime, or Spike TV, all of which make their target audiences very clear in their commercials.
thats why am sayin that all forms of segragation on TV should be eradicated.
No. It's called a target audience and successful marketing. Get over it.
No, your thinking that we should accommodate every little overly sensitive fuck because someone can't stand the idea of an audience that is being catered to that isn't them and the idea that people have *gasp* differences that can be marketed to is what is fucking us over.
Why should I lose my favorite channels because you're so easy to offend? Why should markets bend over backwards to accommodate your sensitive ass? Grow a pair and get over it. Most television programs are mainly comprised of white people. If you can't find a program that is geared enough towards white people for you then maybe you should try actually turning on the TV.
Until we get to a point where mainstream TV completely accommodates diversity, the audience that is fringed will be targeted. That's business. Get over it.
There are more channels than the news. I've watched damned near every channel that the west coast has to offer and very rarely do I see mainstream TV shows with anything but a majority white cast. There is very little diversity in mainstream TV shows.
That's irrelevant; completely inconsistent with what I wrote.
My point is that mainstream entertainment in general has a clear anti-White bias, which manifests itself in a variety of ways.
Seriously, just do a search on the words "anti-White media." Very many others have noticed.
I would rather just watch TV than read rambling blogs from obviously biased sources.
Sara, allow me to explain. I'll keep it simple and to the point.
Almost all of the "bad guys" in TV and in movies are White guys (and gals). Conversely, Blacks are very often portrayed in an unrealistically flattering light.
The media constantly covers up Black-on-White crime.
Surely you've noticed how White males are consistently portrayed in commercials as incompetent geeks?
Why do you think the media hardly says A THING about Black serial killers (though many exist)?
The CONSISTENT media approach is that White identity is an abomination.
Have you ever wondered why the media insisted that George Zimmerman was White, even though he VERY CLEARLY is not?
I could go on and on.
Now, would you call that a biased assessment?
You don't NEED our permission to hate people. That's the beauty of hatred!
I was debating this the other day. I can't tell whether it's a good thing or a bad thing. Should ask an black person what they think. I think on one hand, it protects black culture, but on the other hand I think it serves to isolate or make black people stand out. But I'm really not sure what it does. I'd love for someone to tell me I'm wrong though.
Yes. Also the MOBO awards. Music of Black Origin. Really? You have a special award ceremony only for black people? Oh yea, just segregate yourselves some more from society, that will really help race relations.
Everyone is "racist" whether we admit it or not. The trick is, don't harm anybody or treat people unfairly and you will solve most of the problems right there. Thinking isn't a crime its the actions that make you "racist" or not.
