Is it normal that i think baby headbands are lame?

I admit it ... I'm not into babies or their stuff. I never had kids, and one reason was that babies don't interest me. Once they turn about 2 1/2 I would think it would finally start getting interesting. But everybody in my family worships babies. I asked what to get my newest great niece, and I was told baby headbands. I so don't get it! The on-line site she gave me isn't working and it's giving me a headache trying to figure out what a good headband would be. A baby keeps these on? Really?

    So I couldn't do it. I went rogue and just bought a nice, cute and comfy outfit for the baby.

    I feel the same way as you. I don't care much for infants (my friends and some members of my family worship them) because they're boring, drooly little messes until they're about two.

    Depends on the headband for me. I've never heard of anyone seriously requesting baby headbands though. I do know a few little girls that look cute in flowered headbands.

    They're completely stupid. Headbands are for holding hair back; infants have little to no hair. I think some parents stick them on their little girls just so people won't mistake them for boys. To me, it's like dressing up a cat -- only not anywhere near as cute.

    However, you're buying them as a thoughtful gift, so it's probably best to confine your scorn for these ridiculous and uncomfortable baby accessories to anonymous posting. Rest assured, we think they look stupid too. :)

    My parents used to stick me in those sometimes. I always thought they looked kinda ridiculous.
