Is it normal that i talk to my teacups and pots thanking them for tea?

After I get done drinking tea, I'll clean my pots and cups and say thank you to them and tell them that they did a good job today. I know they really can't talk back to me and that they are objects, but I feel an emotional connection to them. I feel I'm going to have them for years and years so they are a part of my life. To the outside world though I worry that I look like a crazy person, so I want to know is that a normal thing to do?

It's normal to be emotionally attached to your things. I never sold any of my belonging. I still have my first phone with me and I charge it and keep it on though I don't use it.

You are normal cause you know that those are non living objects and they can't talk back to you.

You reminded me something I read in school when I was a little girl.

I'm a little teapot short and stout. Here is my handle, here is my spout..

    God bless you..

That's such a cute rhyme. ^_^ Thank you. <3 They make you feel like no matter what happens out there, I can have the comforts of my tea and feel like it's going to be ok today. ^_^ Bless you too. <3

You have no idea how much I wish I was in the UK for their tea shops, I have to buy most of my stuff online or in Chinatown. Though I'd have a hard time adjusting to the lack of diverse food. >.<

British food nowadays is probably more diverse than you're led to believe.

I really like Mexican though, and heard it's hard to find.

I like tea too. Don't bother with a teapot though, I just use a plain black tea bag, milk, no sugar. I like to use very hot water straight from the kettle. I have a favourite bone china cup to drink my tea from at home. I would probably drink about 100 cups of tea for every cup of coffee. If i was feeling adventurous I may have an Earl Grey which is a Bergamot citrus flavoured tea.

Ultimately you are just showing some gratitude I guess. Enjoy your tea!

This sounds sweet, but I'd be weary of getting too attached to something as fragile as crockery, I've learned that lesson the hard way with my ever expanding graveyard of favourite mugs.

Yes this is why my cups and teapots have a special place and everyone else knows not to touch them. >.> Though you're right you do have to be careful. It helps to hand wash things, because dishwashers are too harsh. That and never leave them in the sink, that's just asking for someone to break them. Also, my two caste iron pots, you're not supposed to use soap on so it makes cleaning them easy. As long as you only put tea in there it's fine to just rinse it out. It also helps to build up more tea flavor in the pot. Just make sure you use good water to do it. ^_^

Recently I started painting for the first time ever... it's so much more difficult than Paint With Numbers :(
But then I got oil pastels and drew a wicked awesome Elephant! :D
            Maybe I'll show you someday.

Have you watched that new J.K Rowling movie yet?

You should send me a picture of your elephant! That sounds amazing. I can sketch well but as soon as I add color its ruined lol. I could maybe send you my email address or kik or whatever you use? IDK if IIN allows it @-@

Not yet, Im looking forward to it but Im saving it as a gift to myself when finals are over. Have you? Did you like it?
