Is it normal that i switched brands of fluoxetine and i have relapsed?

Basically, I've been taking Fluoxetine 10mg since October 2014, and I have been getting along OK with it. My anxiety and low mood have slightly lifted, I'm not completely satisfied as I feel I may need a higher dosage; but, I've recently changed pharmacists.

I got the drug, but this time in a different type of packaging, and I have been taking it for two days (the new one), and I've noticed I'm feeling MUCH worse, and my symptoms have relapsed.

Is this normal? Should I not take the medicine? Will the medicine begin to work like the other brand?

What do I do?

    If the medication and dosage are the same, it doesn't make any difference at all who makes it. Therefore, it is all in your mind.
    You have two choices, as I see it;
    1) throw away this medication and go back to the other, because you like the packaging better.
    2) go to your doctor and explain the problem to him/her and let him/her decide what you should do.

    Generics are generally as good as brand name medications, so I'm not sure why it's making you feel worse. Maybe you need to up your dosage or tell your doctor what's going on. Just curious, why did you switch pharmacy's? Did you move? Also, as a word of caution, if you ever decide to stop taking Prozac, be very careful. It can cause some nasty withdrawal symptoms, so always go with what your doctor advises you to do.
