Is it normal that i sweat in my sleep?

When ever i go to sleep in my house i always wake up damp with sweat. I've asked other people and they say that it's probably the temperature in the room but it could be ice cold and i still wake up sweating. Also it doesn't happen when i sleep over friends houses. Any advice on what it is or suggestions on how to stop it? I'm a girl by the way.

Maybe don't use so many blankets? I sweat when I drape myself in like 3 or 4 fleece ones but when I use just 1 silk one it's fine... I love silk :)

I hate when this happens because I always panic and think that I peed on myself. O_o

I literally wake up to find myself laying in my sweat. When I get up, I literally see the shape of my body sweat patch it's that bad. I only ever get this around the time of my period so I've put it down to a hormonal thing maybe.

What's your diet like? I know people who smoke marijuana experience night sweats because it's their bodys way of getting the toxins out, so do you eat or drink anything in large doses that is probably not good for your body?
