Is it normal that i support the death penalty?

I support the Death Penalty and I believe that if you commit wrong (rape, murder, abuse, torture, theft, etc) then you should be executed, no exceptions. There should be no more of this merciful crap keeping prisoners alive and cared for, along with trying to "Rehabilitate" them. The chances of a criminal "turning over a new leaf" are slim to none and if you let that person out, he or she will just keep committing crime. People like this DON'T change, contrary to what most people believe and the sooner the human race comes to understand this, the wiser and better off a race we'll be. No Criminal deserves a second chance and they don't deserve to be among us in society. I don't care what their backstory is: they have no right to mess with other people and ruin their lives and they should receieve no sympathy or pity from others for the crimes they commit. I wish that every country would enforce the death penalty and kill all the subhuman scum that enters the prison cells. If I were a criminal, I'd want my ass killed off too. After all, you know what they say: "Once a dirty crook, always a crook". IIN?

There's one massive reason that I don't advocate for the death penalty and that is that our legal system is not perfect. Occasionally our courts come to the wrong conclusions, arrest the wrong person, and throw them in jail for long periods of time, where at least they have the chance for appeal. The death penalty is not something that you can 'take back' if new evidence comes to light.

Also, theft? Abuse and torture are sketchy but theft unless on a grand scale is rather mild to be considering death.

"I don't care what their backstory is: they have no right to mess with other people and ruin their lives and they should receieve no sympathy or pity from others for the crimes they commit."

Say someone kills you entire family and you by some fluke know who that person is. Now say that the police either don't have the evidence to convict this person or are corrupt and will not arrest them. By most peoples' standards, killing that person would be inadvisable yet justified. By your black and white picture above, the sole survivor of a brutal attack who is trying to avenge their whole family would be worthy of the death penalty.

Let's try theft. Suppose you are a homeless person living on the streets with no money to your name and poor health. You now have the choice between death by disease or death by firing squad for the simple act of trying to stay alive.

I agree with you. This one guy at work used a sheet of paper to write down a personal phone number. THEN he took the paper home. DIRTY THIEF. BEHEAD THE DIRTY THIEF. IN PUBLIC.

Next, we shall examine your life story and find that you stole another child's toy when you were six months old.

    Oh dear.

Wow. You are so so so wrong. People do have the ability to change. We change all the time.
We have all done something bad, regretted it and learnt from the experience to never do it again. We change.

    Are you trolling?

Honestly, this is such a narrow-minded point of view.
