Is it normal that i strongly dislike cops?
Is this normal or do some feel that they provide some sense of security? I have been profiled too many times by them, getting pulled over for bs (like touching a line) and then harassed (all because I looked at him with slight distaste) . Usually I like to ask a cop what he received his bachelors degree in to determine the level of ignorance I am dealing with (joke being most of them have no form of higher education). Maybe this is just my personal experiences talking and maybe most of you are mundane enough for them to leave you alone, but I no longer believe they are trying to protect society rather they are looking for ways to make money. Most of them I've encountered are usually on a power trip thinking guns outweigh intellect and common sense. In this information era we are living in, society seems to be more isolated and controlled (facebook/aim/tv/videogames/internet) giving cops less reason to exist; thus, I believe their sudden rise to insanity is due to them not being able to maintain their previous lifestyle from the past years. Sigh, as Plato once said, “Those who are too smart to engage in politics are punished by being governed by those who are dumber.”
btw I live in ohio which passed a law allowing cops to pull you over if they "think" you are speeding. No need for any independent speed measuring equipment here, cops word is golden with their PhD in eye balling speed, ethnicity, status, and potential quota fulfillment.
