Is it normal that i still play with my parents at 17?

I am a 17 yo girl. I still find myself playing with my parents, especially my dad, quite often. This ranges from wii and sports to tickling and play-fight.

I am happy that I am close to my parents, but I wonder whether I should start distancing myself. I don't really trust them with personal questions anymore though.

I have friends, but I rarely see/speak to them after school, if this matters.
Is it normal to be this close to my parents when I'm almost an adult myself?

I think it's rather nice that you have that sort of relationship with your parents. Frankly, I think a lot of people wish that they had a similar relationship with their mother and father. Why would you want to distance yourself from them? From what you've described, you have a great relationship with them and it's not like you can get new ones. I would suggest that you just keep things the way they are. Being an adult doesn't mean that you have to feel uncomfortable around your parents company.

The biggest obstacle to teenage life is the breakdown in communication with parents. So if you have a good relationship with them now, don't spoil it by putting distance between you and your parents. Personally I found that my schoolfriends were pretty lame compared to the friends I made in my twenties and thirties.

I'm 20 & my mum & i joke around like old friends, push each other in the hallway & my dad teases me a lot so it's normal, though where exactly does a dad tickle his 17 year old daughter a bit strange to be honest but even though parents are great to play with
