Is it normal that i still love him?

I am in love with this guy in college. I told him how I felt on our way back from a trip, only to find out he is in love with some other girl who lives abroad. He asked me if my feelings were deep, I lied and told him that they weren't and that I'd deal with them and advised him to buck up some courage and let the girl know how he feels about her. A month later, she came back and my friend took my advise only to be rejected by her. It's been a couple of months now, and I am still unable to move on. What should I do? Cause he is very important to me and I just can't seem to let go. I have tried everything! I've given myself some space from him, tried to move on with another guy, but today, I find myself back to square one.

    Walk away and move on. Even if he wanted to get back together, you'll always have it in the back of your mind that you were "2nd choice". And who wants to be that? Don't mean to be harsh,(because I've been there) but if his love for you isn't as strong as your love for him, then you will just be miserable because the relationship will always feel one-sided and you will always give more. If the love and attraction is not 100% mutual then what's the point? Love yourself more and move on. If he truly loves you, and is smart, he'll come back to you in the future. But really, really make him work at it and prove it to you. If something comes too easy, it's really not worth having. Maybe he only wanted that girl overseas because she was just a challenge. Men love a challenge. Otherwise, they get bored. Period.Good luck to you and be strong.

    I'm in the same situation just reversed (I'm a guy). My advice is to just continue being his friend, I know it's gonna be hard with how you feel but eventually I believe he will realize how much he cares for you. It's what happened to me, I had no feelings for my best friend then over time I realized how much I cared about her. Give it time, things will work out =)
