Is it normal that i spell words like british people do

I don't know why, but whenever I am writing or typing I always spell words like behaviour and flavour with a "u". It's just a thing I do without even thinking. The weirdest thing is that I am a born American so it's not like I was raised in the UK.

Not only does it look better, it sounds right.
"Color"? COL OR. No, it's "colour".

Same here. I love the way the addition of the "u" makes the words look and sound. It's the correct way. I don't get why American English has butchered the original British English to such an extent.

What must be understood here is that Americans are not actually human beings. They are giant burrowing slug like creatures that were driven to the surface of the earth after the destruction of their sub-soil world. Their difficulties with spelling words korrectly lies in there brains being shriveled raisin like things and their inflated sense of their own self worth.

I hope this assists you in not feeling like a total knuckle head.

i'm canadian so we use some british spellings (the u is standard here) but i like to use ones that i don't think canada recognises... like "recognises" instead of "recognizes"
